Per Scholas is extending its no-cost Salesforce Administrator training with a paid, eight-month fellowship that sends selected graduates into New York City nonprofits to improve Salesforce systems, data quality and AI-enabled workflows, according to its Sept. 10 announcement.

The pilot follows a four-month training program covering Salesforce administration, Agentforce, Prompt Builder and AI-enabled workflow design. Selected graduates will put those skills to work implementing Salesforce solutions, strengthening data governance and deploying AI tools in nonprofit operations.

The nonprofit hosts are being screened for the work, not just assigned fellows. Participating organizations complete an AI Readiness Assessment to identify suitable projects, and the Workforce Professionals Training Institute, or WPTI, is partnering with Per Scholas to support the organizations’ readiness and capacity throughout the initiative.

The inaugural pilot will place fellows with organizations including WPTI, JobsFirstNYC, COOP Careers, Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow, Phipps Neighborhoods and New Immigrant Community Empowerment. Barclays and Accenture are among the early partners supporting the fellowship.

Per Scholas describes the program as a way to help graduates build experience beyond technical training while giving nonprofits support for their technology needs. Fellows will receive ongoing coaching from Per Scholas, mentorship from Salesforce professionals and structured professional development. Career placement support will continue after the fellowship ends.
