Modern Executive Solutions hires Joan Rohs to grow CTO network
The M1 expansion is meant to connect technology chiefs with a private community that already includes more than 400 CHROs across 27 countries.
Modern Executive Solutions has appointed Joan Rohs to grow its M1 Technology Community, putting a former ICONIQ and World 50 executive in charge of a CTO network the firm wants to connect with its established HR executive community. The Atlanta-based talent consultancy announced the appointment in an October 26 statement.
M1 already brings together more than 400 chief human resources officers across 27 countries, CEO Mark Oppenheimer said in a LinkedIn post. He framed the technology community’s expansion around closer collaboration between CTOs and CHROs on AI decisions, arguing that the quality of those relationships could shape how much value companies get from the technology.
Rohs will lead growth of M1’s Chief Technology Officer Community, including executive roundtables and member experiences, according to the appointment statement. She will also help develop Modern’s Technology Leader Academy, intended to prepare the next generation of global technology leaders, and work across the firm’s executive search and advisory practices. M1 operates as a set of private, members-only executive communities.
Rohs joins from ICONIQ, where she was a partner. She previously spent 14 years at World 50 as executive director and managing director, bringing global technology leaders together, the statement said.
Modern has also recently appointed Bria Bass as a partner to help expand its M1 Talent Community across North America and Europe, according to Hunt Scanlon Media. Bass spent nearly a decade at World 50 leading communities for CHROs, general counsel, divisional CEOs, presidents and other senior leaders.
