Magnit takes Pulse AI beyond its own VMS to SAP Fieldglass
The release adds Slack access for Magnit clients, Fieldglass actions in Teams, pay-rate intelligence and sourcing recommendations.
Magnit Global is moving its Pulse conversational AI platform beyond clients of its own vendor management system, adding support for SAP Fieldglass programs through Microsoft Teams and introducing Slack access for Magnit VMS clients, according to an Oct. 28 company announcement.
Pulse launched in June 2026 inside Teams for Magnit VMS customers. The expansion lets hiring managers on Fieldglass-based programs approve timesheets and act on work orders without leaving Teams. Magnit VMS clients can now access the new capabilities through Teams, Slack, API and MCP connections.
The release also puts pay and sourcing information alongside the process of requesting contingent workers. Pay Intelligence displays real-time pay-rate trends by role, skill and location. SourceMatch, Magnit’s recommendation engine, uses market-rate and talent information to guide managers toward a fulfillment channel for a particular role. Managers can start a requisition through a short conversation in Teams or Slack.
Pulse integrates with existing VMS compliance frameworks, said Alan Gilchrest, Magnit’s chief digital and technology officer. He described the product as allowing managers to work without separate logins or additional training. Those are central to Magnit’s pitch: handling workforce tasks inside collaboration tools rather than asking hiring managers to learn another application.
Organizations can also connect their own AI agents to Pulse through a newly added MCP server. Magnit said it plans to add more Slack capabilities and support for additional VMS platforms.
