AdeptID buys MedSource, doubling staffing business after Lucid deal
MedSource CEO Paul Gunnoe will lead AdeptID’s healthcare staffing business, and the acquired firm will keep its brand and client contacts.
AdeptID has acquired MedSource Travelers in a deal that doubles the size of its staffing business, CEO Fernando Rodriguez-Villa told Staffing Industry Analysts. The purchase adds another nursing and allied health agency to a company that began in AI talent matching and candidate screening.
The deal closed Oct. 20, according to SIA, a year after AdeptID bought Lucid Staffing Solutions. MedSource has offices in Florida and Texas, and AdeptID aims to strengthen its presence in the Southeast and Southwest through the acquisition.
MedSource CEO Paul Gunnoe will become president of healthcare staffing at AdeptID, leading the company’s healthcare staffing business, according to AdeptID’s Oct. 27 announcement. MedSource will retain its brand, and clients and clinicians will keep their existing points of contact.
The businesses will share access to jobs and talent. MedSource will gain access to openings and clinicians across AdeptID’s staffing operations, supported by its AI matching technology and workflows, the company said. Clinicians and facilities served by Lucid and Adept Talent will likewise be able to access MedSource’s jobs and talent.
AdeptID’s recruiting plans offer a more concrete view of how it intends to use the technology. A Lucid senior travel healthcare recruiter listing on Kapor Capital’s job board describes automation handling sourcing, screening and repetitive tasks, with recruiters focused on clinician relationships, interviews, offers and onboarding. It also calls for recruiters to work directly with engineering and product teams on workflow improvements.
The listing seeks candidates with at least three years of healthcare staffing experience and prior clinician experience. Among its stated measures of success: time to fill, submission-to-offer ratios, repeat placements and rising revenue per recruiter.
