Scinai lands $5.1 million oncology development and clinical manufacturing deal
The contract helped lift Scinai’s committed customer orders measure to approximately $7.6 million, though that figure is not the same as unfilled backlog.
Scinai Immunotherapeutics has secured approximately $5.1 million in committed service fees for drug development and clinical manufacturing tied to an investigational oncology product, with clinical production planned to begin in January 2027, according to the company’s Oct. 13 statement.
The agreement, signed through subsidiary Scinai Biopharma Services with a U.S.-based, Nasdaq-listed biopharmaceutical company, expands an existing customer engagement and adds work for Scinai’s contract development and manufacturing business.
Across its Jerusalem and Yavne operations in Israel, Scinai’s Committed Customer Orders measure reached approximately $7.6 million, more than double the approximately $3.1 million reported as of Aug. 16, 2026. That measure includes amounts already invoiced or recognized as revenue during the reporting year, as well as orders scheduled for later fulfillment. It measures contracted activity, not remaining unfulfilled backlog.
Work includes process and analytical development, manufacturing readiness, clinical production, stability testing and development of a prefilled-syringe presentation. Development activities are underway in 2026, with stability services expected to continue beyond 2027.
The fees remain subject to performance and contractual terms, including termination rights. Scinai expects the services to contribute revenue during 2026 and 2027 as work is completed, with advance and milestone payments supporting project cash flow and working capital.
A further clinical manufacturing program carries an indicative, uncommitted service-fee value of $5.85 million for late 2027 through the first half of 2028. Those activities depend on final scope and pricing, written authorization, available manufacturing capacity and the customer’s development and regulatory progress.
