Prime Staffing names Tad May chief of AI
The healthcare staffing firm put recruiter development and AI adoption under the same leader, with candidate matching and administrative work among its early targets.
Prime Staffing has named senior recruitment director Tad May chief of AI, putting the same leader over recruiter development and the company’s push to bring automation into recruiting and operations, according to a Sept. 22 company statement.
The national healthcare staffing firm described the appointment as an expanded role. May’s existing responsibilities include recruiter development, candidate engagement, operational performance and expanding Prime’s healthcare talent network. His AI remit spans leadership, recruitment and technology teams.
Prime said it plans to use AI and automation to improve candidate matching and engagement and reduce repetitive administrative work, with the aim of giving recruiters more time to build relationships with healthcare professionals. May will work with the executive team to evaluate technologies and develop processes for incorporating them into recruiting and operations.
“We do not see that as replacing recruiters. We see it as giving talented recruiters dramatically better tools,” Jordan Belkin, executive vice president of operations, said in the statement.
President Michael Fazio said his primary focus over the next 12 months is to incorporate AI across all business verticals.
