Mirantis wins Pinnacle HR award, says 95% of R&D software engineers use AI
The company says 47% of employees have at least five years of service; a contract recruiter posting sought help across engineering, product and customer-facing roles.
Mirantis put two workforce numbers behind its AI infrastructure push in an Oct. 15 statement announcing a Platinum Pinnacle HR award: 47% of employees had been with the company for at least five years, and 95% of its software engineers in research and development use AI in their work.
The award was for Organizational Design & Transformation, according to the Pinnacle Awards’ 2026 winners announcement. Mirantis tied the recognition to its approach to building and retaining globally distributed engineering teams as it shifts from cloud-native infrastructure software into platforms for AI workloads.
The company also said 17% of employees had been there for more than a decade. Its workforce strategy combines experienced employees with newly recruited specialists in areas including Kubernetes, virtualization and GPU orchestration. The company says it encourages engineers to develop expertise across technologies and functions, emphasizing technical autonomy, peer review and ownership of outcomes.
A recent recruiting specification gives a more concrete view of the hiring work behind that strategy. A Mirantis posting dated Sept. 30 on Sapphire Ventures’ job board sought a remote U.S. senior technical recruiter on contract to support engineering, product and customer-facing hiring. The listing is now closed to applications.
The specification called for at least seven years of full-cycle technology recruiting experience and expertise recruiting for Kubernetes, platform engineering and AI infrastructure. It also sought experience filling product manager, account executive and pre-sales architect roles, with the recruiter independently managing searches alongside a distributed talent acquisition team.
