Anheuser-Busch plans to spend $21 million on its Los Angeles and Mira Loma, California, facilities, pairing canning, bottling and transportation upgrades with a new training center for existing operators and technicians, the company said Sept. 17.

The training center at the Los Angeles Brewery will teach electrical and mechanical systems used in brewery equipment. It is one of 15 centers planned nationwide as Anheuser-Busch aims to expand the skills of more than 90% of its U.S. manufacturing workforce over the next five years.

The facility work will support increased production of Michelob ULTRA and Cutwater, enhance Phorm Energy production and expand rail capacity, the company said.

The spending falls under Anheuser-Busch’s $600 million commitment to U.S. operations across 2025 and 2026 through its Brewing Futures initiative, which includes manufacturing workforce development and efforts to strengthen career opportunities for veterans.

Anheuser-Busch said it has invested $184 million in the Los Angeles and Mira Loma facilities since 2021. The two sites employ hundreds of Californians, and the Los Angeles Brewery produces more than 50 of the company’s brands.
